At Zen Fundraising, we believe that every child and young person facing cancer deserves the best possible care and support.
That's why we're proud to partner with Young Lives vs Cancer (YLVC) in their mission to ensure that children and young people with cancer receive the specialised care they need.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and offers an opportunity to get involved and make a real impact. We've put together four ways you can support this year as an individual or a nonprofit.
1) Awareness of young cancer patient's unique needs
Awareness creates impact. The more we understand something, the more inclined we are to share this knowledge with others. Spreading this awareness can inspire others to take action.
Cancer affects children and young people differently than adults. Every aspect of their journey is different from the type of cancer they have to when they're diagnosed.
This means tailored care must be provided by healthcare professionals who truly understand their specific needs. These young warriors deserve the proper treatment in the right place so they have the best possible chance to overcome cancer and continue with their lives.

2) Advocate for change
Young Lives vs Cancer (YLVC) works to ensure that children and young people with cancer are a top priority in the plans for cancer services by UK governments.
You, too, can be a part of this crucial advocacy. YLVC has made contacting your Member of Parliament and other elected representatives easy.
You don't need to worry about what to say or even open your email account. Just provide some basic details, and YLVC will identify your representative. With just a couple of clicks, a pre-prepared email is sent, urging them to prioritise the unique needs of young cancer patients.
3) Donate to a fundraising activity
Throughout the year, there are numerous fundraising opportunities and events that provide support to non-profits and NGOs dedicated to important causes.
This collective action and the generosity of people like you can come in various forms, from marathons and swims to bake sales and skydiving.
Speaking of the latter, we're proud to share that two fantastic team Zen-bers are gearing up for a skydiving adventure on September 24th.
Jasmine and Orlaith's donation links are open for a limited time, and every contribution, whether big or small, makes a tremendous difference.
Every pound raised through this skydive will be matched by us, doubling the impact of your donation.
Our Director and Co-Founder, Duncan, is lacing up his running shoes for the Bath Half Marathon on October 15th.
He's running not just for the thrill of the race but to raise vital funds for our esteemed charity partner, YLVC.
Every step Duncan takes and every penny you contribute to this fantastic cause counts.
Will you join us in making a difference?

We've worked with cancer charities worldwide, from large NGOs such as Young Lives, to smaller charity enterprises such as Teddy20.
By partnering with us, you'll gain access to a wealth of experience and resources that can help you make an even more significant difference in the lives of young cancer patients.
We're committed to creating a positive impact through sustainable fundraising solutions. Our partnerships are built on trust, collaboration, and a shared vision of a better world.
When we come together in unity, we can better ensure that children and young people with cancer receive the care and support they deserve.
