We invited our community to nominate their favourite charities, turning last month’s Black Friday into a celebration of generosity and compassion.

@tommys joins @pips_charity and @greatormondst as recipients of £500 each.

Tommy’s is the UK’s largest charity dedicated to saving babies’ lives through groundbreaking research and providing trusted support for families experiencing pregnancy and baby loss.

Their mission is to stop the heartbreak of baby loss and make pregnancy and birth safe for everyone.

Zen Fundraising has been doing things differently.

Our ‘’Give Back Friday’’ Campaign aimed to spotlight the spirit of giving back and creating impact.

Instead of focusing on Black Friday spending, we kicked off the season of generosity by donating £500 to three incredible charities that make a real difference. ✨🌎

We are thrilled to announce that our next recipient is @pips_charity Suicide Prevention Ireland.

PIPS provides life-saving support to individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts or mental health challenges, offering free and confidential counselling services without session limits.

Their work extends to families and friends impacted by suicide, offering crisis support, befriending, mentoring and complementary therapies.

PIPS began as a grassroots initiative after a tragic period where 14 young people lost their lives to suicide. Since then, they’ve remained committed to their community-led approach, delivering essential services across Belfast and Northern Ireland.

The two nominations resonated deeply with us, and we hope this donation helps PIPS continue its vital work.

We received four nominations for GOSH, with individuals sharing powerful personal experiences:

◦ The new cancer unit being built to transform even more young lives.

GOSH welcomes 76,000 children annually across 250,000 admissions and appointments, providing vital care and hope to families.

It’s a staggering thought, isn’t it?

Every minute, a lorry full of plastic waste ends up in our oceans, suffocating marine life and polluting ecosystems that sustain people and nature.

@wwf’s vision of oceans abounding with life - not discarded nets and bottles - is one we fully believe in.

It’s another reason we’re incredibly proud to connect supporters with WWF’s life-changing work, advocating for a world where:

🐢 Marine ecosystems are free from plastic pollution and instead are free to flourish.
🐢 Communities no longer face harmful pollutants from plastic production or burning.
🐢 Essential plastics are reused and repurposed.

It’s through conversations like this that our fundraisers inspire individuals to connect with WWF’s mission.

Oceans of Plastic Day is a global awareness initiative and campaign that takes place on November 19th each year.
