Zen Fundraising are delighted to be partnering with Mencap as the charity returns to face-to-face fundraising through a private site campaign currently taking place across London and Manchester.

For Mencap, this marks an exciting opportunity to engage directly with the public once again, raise awareness of its work, and connect more people with its mission to create a society where people with a learning disability are valued equally, listened to, and included.
The timing feels particularly meaningful as Mencap's awareness campaign, Learning Disability Week, runs between 15th and 21st June. This year's theme, "Do you see me?", encourages all of us to recognise the experiences, ambitions and contributions of people with a learning disability, while continuing to challenge the barriers many still face today.
Carl Orlowe, CEO of Zen Fundraising, reflects
"We're incredibly proud to be partnering with Mencap and supporting such an important cause. This campaign is about helping more people understand the experiences of people with a learning disability and creating opportunities for lasting support. and we're excited to help share this message through meaningful conversations."
For nearly 80 years, Mencap has been supporting people with a learning disability and their families. Through campaigning, advice, support services, and community programmes, the charity works tirelessly to ensure that people have the opportunities, respect, and support they deserve.
Their goal is simple but powerful: to make the UK the best place in the world for people with a learning disability to lead happy and healthy lives. And, while significant progress has been made, many challenges remain.
Around 1.5 million people in the UK have a learning disability, yet many continue to face barriers in employment, healthcare and everyday life. Mencap continues to campaign for change, working alongside people with a learning disability, their families and supporters to create a more inclusive society.
The charity's work provides practical support when it is needed most.
A donation of just £7 could help answer a call from someone in crisis who reaches out to Mencap's Learning Disability Helpline for support.
£25 could help a trained caseworker stop a parent or loved one from being wrongly locked away in a mental health hospital.
£50 could help pay for urgent legal support for a family in desperate need of advice to prevent their loved one being admitted to an in-patient unit.
These examples highlight the very real impact that fundraising can have on people's lives.
Behind every donation is a person looking for reassurance, guidance or support: a family is searching for answers, someone navigating challenges that no one should have to face alone.
At Zen, we're proud to help connect supporters with causes that matter. We know that long-term support is built through trust, transparency and meaningful conversations, and we're excited to be helping introduce more people to Mencap's work through face-to-face fundraising.
Learning Disability Week invites all of us to look beyond assumptions and recognise people with a learning disability for who they are: individuals with ambitions, talents, relationships and aspirations, each deserving of equal opportunities and a voice that is heard.
We're incredibly proud to be supporting Mencap as they continue creating positive change across the UK, and we look forward to helping more people discover the impact of their work in the months ahead.
Because everyone deserves to be seen, heard and valued. 💜
