Zen Fundraising launches new campaign with Independent Age

At some point in our lives, we all hope to grow older with independence and security. Yet for millions of people across the UK, later life is becoming increasingly difficult.

More than two million older people are living in poverty, while at least another million are living just above the poverty line, often making impossible decisions between heating their homes, buying food or staying connected with friends and family.

That's why we're proud to announce our latest partnership with Independent Age, the national charity dedicated to improving the lives of older people facing financial hardship.

With a history dating back to 1863, Independent Age has spent more than 160 years supporting older people through changing times. Today, the charity provides free information and advice, campaigns for lasting change and works alongside hundreds of local organisations to ensure older people receive the support they're entitled to.

Our new face-to-face fundraising campaign is now underway across Birmingham and Plymouth, with fundraising taking place on both private sites and residential doorsteps. Aura is currently delivering the campaign through residential fundraising and Good Intentions across private site locations.

Every conversation our fundraisers have will help Independent Age continue its vital work, from providing expert advice through its free helpline to funding local organisations that support older people in communities across the UK.

The charity also uses the insight gained from these services to influence policy and campaign for a future where everyone can enjoy later life without the burden of financial hardship.
